Clock Tower (r214-217)

Hello people! Here’s the second part (of three) of that big 6-room update. All I said in the last update can be applied here too 😉

It’s a work in progress, as usual 🙂

This is the part with that awfully low-res turning bridge video… Maybe there is a way to replicate and record (reshoot?) this scene not with in-game engine, but some 3d-animation program?

  2. albert says:

Yes. this is the area. I thought the same. We’ll see what can we do at the end of the project 😉 (same with Verdugo’s approaching scene)

Insanity what her boys there makes. The play looks more and more real.

I’m so impressed with every update. Keep knocking them out for all of us!

wow how do you guys got the wall ornament above the door on the 6th picture? http://i.imgur.com/98XcHLH.gifv

i was wondering, what is your opinion on later games on the franchise, like re5, re6 and re revelations 1-2? for example i really like re5 and think is really fun but at the same time think is dumb as hell (seriously, the Indiana Jones ruins on Africa made the castle section on re4 feel believable)and really repetitive, for some reason i can’t stand re6, I bought it, but couldn’t finish it except for Leon’s campaign, and loved re- revelations on the 3ds, but felt like the story was a mess and didn’t liked switching location and characters between chapters… also will we see another hd texture pack in the resident evil series from you guys xD?

Personally I have only played a bit of RE5 and RE6. I didn’t like how you had to play alongside Sheva – her character got in the way and item management felt clunkier. I think I just prefer a solo-mission. As for RE6, I’d like to play through that one more. I know many people don’t like it, but it looks like there’s a lot of content and story, so eventually I’ll get to it. (Once this is finished, of course — I have a huge backlog of games I look forward to playing when the project is complete). Sorry I don’t have more detailed impressions of RE5/6 to share. 🙂 As for another texture project in the future, I think that’s a question to really answer after RE4 is done haha.

      My opinion:
RE5 was an attempt to bring HD graphics to the RE4 formula but 2 player co-op thing and the inventory system ruined the experience (IMO) and, as you said, it felt quite repetitive… And the story… too much drama for my taste XD

RE6 is fun but a complete chaos and sometimes it’s like the game’s doing all by itself. Full of unnecessary QTE. Too many things in a single game I’d say…

I love REvelations. It felt playable like RE4 again, but with more claustrophobic atmosphere sometimes. I don’t like the story but at this point I can’t take seriously RE story anymore…

Another HD texture pack? If I’m still alive after finishing this project… Code: Veronica would be a good goal… but only if a PC port is released of course.

      • kaludio says:

yeah what makes me the most sad is that re6 has good level design but the controls are awful and the mechanics are supper counter intuitive 🙁 and what’s worst is i cant simply upgrade weapons without putting obscene amounts of time grinding xp for the skill trees… and even then they don’t feel fully upgraded. is like re6 is the opposite of re5, where re5 is fun to play but the location ans story are boring, re6 is IMO boring to play but the locations and story are very entertaining…

Looks great as always! I especially like the way the outside bridge part looks, really pretty.

Been following this for a while, absolutely fantastic almost eerily perfect 🙂

  9. Terminento says:

The other day you explained that most textures came from Barcelona. It seems that Capcom used this research for the more than obvious Gaudí influence in Devil may Cry (although kind of masked a little bit), but the other day I was playing Haunting Ground, and I reached a place called The House of Truth. Right after crossing the door, I exclaimed: “¡Coño! ¡La Casa Batlló!” Like… entire rooms were a copycat!
So I was wondering: I have played a lot of RE4, but I’ve never noticed any Gaudi references. Are there more pieces of Gaudí work in Resident Evil 4?

  10. Matthew McNamara says:

Hey Cris and Albert just wanted to finally comment on you’re fantastic work.

I was wondering because I never saw it in any screenshots but Luis actually has a continuity error. When Leon rescues him you pull the tape off his mouth and subsequently his moustache and this is reflected in all cut scenes except in the siege of the house in chapter 2-2 where his in-game model has a very prominent moustache I was just wondering if you guys would actually fix this little oversight by Capcom?

I know you want to stay faithful and all but this is an error and you guys have the ability to fix that and that’s what makes PC gaming special and if someone else made a mod to remove it would likely combat your own changes to his model so there’s that to.

Keep up the good work you two and I honestly cannot wait to play the final release!

    • albert says:

Yes! that’s one mytical mistake haha. We’ll fix that for sure, it’s quite simple! 😉
      Thanks for following our work!
