Demo Video is Up!

As promised, here’s the first official demo video for this project, running on the Ultimate HD version of the game. The video takes you through the first gameplay section where you encounter the first Ganado in the cabin.

Please note:

1. The video was recorded at 30FPS in order to be able to record at 1080p โ€” normal gameplay is at 60FPS, of course.
2. A few textures for this section have not yet been ported over to the UHD version, such as the dog or the other Ganados, so I donโ€™t focus on them during the walkthrough.

Additionally, Albert has uploaded two more videos. Please note: The textures in the following videos are not final – rather they are based primarily on Albert’s custom textures:

1. Bumpmap Mod Test for Leon’s Jacket
2. Tour of the section where you first see the Blue Medalions

This looks better and better every time I see it! Having Albert around really does help with the work load! Are bump maps just to give things a 3d look?
Also, once again I’ve just been looking over your previous posts and was wondering if you plan on retexturing the cops’ and Leon’s faces? Also, are Leon’s boots supposed to be shiny/light grey, I thought they were solid black? Other than that, (and the pants and gloves)I love everything else. I’m really anal about Leon’s character model ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are some rapid-fire responses to your questions: Yes, bump maps help give objects more of a 3D look in terms of how light reflects off those surfaces (or at least that’s my understanding). I do plan to retexture their faces, although I think I will leave Leon’s for a little bit later down the road in order to get more practice before tackling such a critical texture. I agree the brightness of the boots should be reduced in order to better match the original — I will keep this in mind for a future touch-up (along with the pants and gloves, of course)! Thanks again for the support!

Do you plan to release a first version of this mod at some point or only when the entire game is done? I canโ€™t wait to try it my self.

    Amazing. LOVE it!!

Looks awesome so far! I like how everything just looks better without adding the “noise” that so many texture mods produce.

Wow! Looks great. Keep up the great work!!
