    i can’t wait πŸ™‚ great job

  3. xblackdemonx says:

Wow that is a crazy nice difference! Good job!

  4. Ivanov says:

Just amazing! This is real HD! Can’t wait to play the whole game in HD!

I want to ask: Do you guys think to make the mini games in HD? I mean when you complete the game and you unlock the proffesional mode, aslo you unlock and some mini games, like with Ada Long Separate ways and mini games with timers in all zones. This will be amazing if you make the whole game in HD like Villiage and Caste zones!

    And again AMAZING JOB, CONGRATS!

  5. Michael Hoffmann says:

Excellent news! A big thanks for all your hard work!
Is there a rough estimation when the final version for the whole game might be released?

  6. Slug Camargo says:

No matte how many screenshots or videos I watch, I can’t get over how mind-blowingly gorgeous this looks. I’m honestly looking forward to these releases more than any official RE game.

  7. DarkSamus says:

    OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG

I am so excited for this.

  8. President_Evil says:

Bravo! Soon, I will become unable to resist this… intoxicating texture mod.

  9. MatΓas says:

Wow! Absolutely Gorgeous! Can’t wait to play this master piece in HD

  10. metroidguy says:

    Incredible.

  11. DarkSamus says:

For the info I have posted this video on both your threads on Steam, RE modding and have shared the video on Facebook.

  12. Frank Nitty says:

Once again nice wrk. Looking forward to the release

  13. [ROLO] says:

A-we-some. This trailer is amazing, very well done and have me even more hyped for this project, it’s amazing all the love you keep putting into this, and thank you for not dropping it in all these years πŸ™‚

  14. Clyde Cash says:

    I love you guys

  15. Toni says:

I’m so glad, that you understand the importance of tones in a work of art. I’ve seen so many overhauls and mods, that completely killed the mood of a game, because the people who made them had no idea about colors/tones. It’s the most important tool to create atmosphere. Some games designers did incredible jobs with their choice of tones. Deus Ex 1, The Elder Scrolls 3 – Morrowind, Silent Hill 2… to name just a few.

  16. Andrew says:

You guys surprise me every time πŸ˜€

  17. terminento says:

Last monday I went to San Juan de los Reyes, and I remembered you guys.
By the way, I have a theory for the red-ish tint later releases had (untill you fixed it, that is). I think that the HD versions were supervised by Albert Wesker and exposed to Uroboros, ensuring COMPLETE – GLOBAL – SATURATION

  18. Lv-426 says:

Damn. Of all the videos released I think this one best shows the difference between what was and what is. Incredible.

    • Reven says:

It really is. My only real problem is with people who are insulting Capcom for not doing this for the release in the first place. I mean yeah it would have been nice, but let’s face it, the port team had a tiny budget and small time frame. They could have never done this, especially not at the quality of these guys. Even if they did, the game wouldn’t have been $20 USD at launch of the 2014 PC port had they been able to, because of all the extra work that would have gone into it. I look on the bright side of the port, if your rig is powerful enough you can play it at 60FPS (with a few 30fps animations here and there). It’s also the only non-Nintendo version of the game (that I know of) that actually has the full specular mapping enabled after some patches, and they finally got KB&M decent.

  19. therealest says:

Really really well done guys. Astounding work. I can’t wait til you guys get to the items and character models.

  20. Vick S. Bateman says:

I’m now running out of praise, for real. Cris this video is something else..

    • Cris says:

Thanks! At first it was just going to be a cut-scene comparison video, but then I got this idea in my head and I couldn’t let it go. Glad folks are liking it!

  21. Vlad says:

Guys teach me how to make cinematics in this game!

  22. Austin says:

If I knew anything about animating, I would make you guys some enemy animations and at least another knife or reload animation for Leon (such as a heavy knife attack for more damage but slightly slower?)!!

i love what you guys are doing keep it up, this is a dream come true for me. I love to see people bringing this game to its fullest!!!

  23. Alfred says:

Hey! Once again I just wanted to say good work. One question: At what point does the Castle patch “end”, like for lack of a better word, what part until does it cover?

  24. alexabdadam says:

    Keep this awesome work up

  25. Grenadeh says:

It takes two months to write a simple batch file and upload it? Just curious. Looks great though.

    • MAGG says:

They have to tested it and make sure everything runs perfect. I dont think is a simple batch file, and considering they are only two guys doing an excellent quality work, two months is not that much.

    • Alvare says:

      Sigh..

  26. Faeevil says:

Can’t wait to play my favorite game ever with this amazing graphics, i’m a big fan of this job of yours!
I’m the only one who thinks that capcom is stupid not contracting these guys to make this officially a maybe even better (of course if they do this this would cost a lot to buy the game again), but they should preserve one of their most famous titles…
Do you guys have any prediction about when it will finished (main game at least)? I read the FAQs but there’s only progress, not the probable remain time…

    • albert says:

      Thank you!
Unfortunatelly we don’t know when the project will be finished. The good thing about these kind of projects is there is no deadline and we can focus on making the work as good as possible! Keep in mind we do all this stuff during or limited free time so it’s almost impossible to do a time estimation.
      Greetings!

  27. Sergey Tokarev says:

I saw some articles on various gaming sites, good job πŸ™‚
Just wanted to ask, I found this old screenshot: https://www.re4hd.com/wp-content/gallery/0001-spanish-cops/0004b.jpg – do you still plan to use Toyota’s logo?

  28. Alvare says:

Wish we could make re4 have normal maps, real time shadows, ambient occlusion, screen space reflections allong with physical based materials, global illumination and subsurface scattering. I guess that’ll never happen unless there’s a enb series equivalent to Skyrim’s that’d somehow force these effects. xD

    • Sergey Tokarev says:

Ambient Occlusion or even indirect lighting might be possible with ENB, but Boris won’t adapt it for Ultimate HD version, sadly.

      • Alvare says:

True. I wouldn’t trust that guy my money anyway. He does whatever he wants and whenever he feels like and seems to quit working when he gets unmotivated. Not entirely sure about it. But that’s the impression and vibe i’m getting fron him.

  29. isaac pavon says:

guys you’re doing an outstanding job with this. keep it up!
you can count with my donation as soon as it’s finished. I will play this game all over again just to admire the texture detail.

  30. jonRock says:

This looks absolutely fantastic. The best texture overhaul ever made. Will there be any changes to the Village area with the new release?

    • Cris says:

Hello, and thank you! To keep things simple we are only doing the Castle with this release. The original Village release will remain as is (until the final release). Thanks again!!

  31. Muladhara says:

Wow! I’m consistently impressed by this project, and the dedication behind it.

Might be time for me to figure out how to get my WiiMote+ working properly. I was really unimpressed with the inaccuracy of it when I tried after the villiage release. Does anyone know of a tried and true way to get the controller working for this?

  32. Max says:

So there is only 7 days left before the Castle release, Right?
    Can’t wait for that!!!!

  33. Alvare says:

Rip my gtx 460 graphics card.. severally died in the process of testing a single time. xD
Now I’m looking at the 1024 x 768 screen full of green points and lines.
I was planning on buying a new desktop.. but yeah, wasn’t expecting that to be of need this soon.

      • albert says:

Ouch! I really hope we didn’t cause that O.o
That’s exactly what happened to me last time my computer died. This project is a machines killer XD

        • Alvare says:

Haha, of course. But my computer should’ve been replaced two years ago. It’s also been 5 months since smoke came from the power supply. Even then I couldn’t care less. But I’m collecting all my money now for something worth 2400 bucks. It’s most likely keep me up to date for quite some time.

          • Alvare says:

Oh, and forgot to mention. After that, I will donate 100 bucks to you guys.

          • albert says:

You should get a quantic computer For that ammount!
Thank you again for the support! πŸ˜€ but please, use the money for your new computer and try the castle release first haha πŸ˜›

          • Alvare says:

I certainly hope so. I mean, I’ve had my fair share of bad choices in hardware up to this point. I wanna experience a computer that is capable to do whatever I want. πŸ™‚

  34. Andy says:

Fantastic work guys, thanks so much for doing this-the quality of your work ironically is comparable if not better then Capcom themselves achieved with the recent RE and RE Zero-Gamecube conversions to HD. You rock!
