A glimpse at chapter 4-3 (Testing 4K Recording)

Hello everybody! Long time since the last video.

I’ve been doing regular progress as usual, but since my graphic card was dying I took the opportunity to get a new and super fast machine.

Right now I’m transferring all data to the new PC. In the meantime, I’ve tried the game in my new beast and the game runs smoothly at 4k, max game settings and max video recording quality!

Here’s the sample (NO AUDIO):

It’s fun how my old computer can’t even play the 4K Youtube video properly!

Only the second half of the underground mines remains to be done. After finishing it both chapters 4-2 and 4-3 will be ready. So, next thing I’m going to do is record the chapter 4-2 final revision video (finally!)

Thanks for the patinece!!!

They are already almost done with the RE3 remaster.

Aren’t you guys afraid that the RE4 remaster will be made?

    • albert says:

Nope, The Remakes are different games. People still play the original RE2
And the’y need to remake code veronica first 😛

    • Rey says:

From what I heard, Capcom planning on developing RE8 after RE3 remake, but idk

So yeah, as albert said, they’re still far from remaking RE4

      • jim says:

i hope that when they’re done eventually remaking code veronica they remake gun survivor 1 next because it is mentioned in resident evil zero’s prologue then maybe remake resident evil 4 and probably remake resident evil umbrella and darkside chronicles.

I’ve been following your progress for so many years at this point… I really hope you get to finish and release this absolutely amazing project! 🙂 It looks beautiful!
I even bought the game 2 or 3 years ago on a xmas sale on steam so I would be 100% ready as soon as this would be complete 🙂
Thanks for the amazing work! Cant’t wait for the followup!

Which one is the new graphic card that you bought?

  4. Frank Nitty says:

Hey Albert, appreciate the update. In the process of you transferring files over to your new PC, I’m not sure if you also kept the same OS installation or did a fresh install, but there are ways where you can actually “re-image” your current OS installation and transfer it to your new PC so you can pick up where you left off without experiencing downtime. I’ve dealt in the IT industry for some time so I’ve put together personal guides with instructions as a reference for those types of situations. I rather spare you the trouble of the daunting task of having to ‘reprogram’ your new PC ‘back to normal’ if I can help it so you can ‘get the show back on the road’ since my anticipation for the completion of the remaster is quite high (no rush). Let me know if I could be of any help within my capabilities.

S/N: Did you also upgrade to a Ryzen machine like everybody else (myself included, lol)?

    • albert says:

Oh, thank you! But too late… XD
Fortunately it only took me a day to reinstall everything. Anyway, I wanted to take the opportunity to clean all my folders. It was a complete chaos. And there was a huge amount of useless software as well
And yes, a Ryzen too haha
This is what I have now:
      AMD RYZEN 9 3900X 3,8GHZ
      MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS
      32GB RAM
      SSD 500GB + HDD 4TB
MSI RTX 2080TI VENTUS GP 11GB

First time in my life I have no DVD/BD drive. I’ve bought a SATA/IDE to USB adapter because I have a lot of data on BD-R…

      • Frank Nitty says:

Awesome: Ryzen FTW. I can’t blame you though since it offers an affordable upgrade path for the $: better bang for your buck. Even after upgrading, I opted to keep my DVD/BD drive. However, the only manufacturer I know of that makes a compatible chassis for 3.5″ drive bays is Fractal Design w/ their Define Series, but they’re based out of the US so take that as you will. Nice specs. The rig I updated to was a Ryzen 3700X, ASUS PRIME X570-P, 32GB RAM, 2x SSDs: 500GB/1TB, 4TB HDD, ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti.

        • albert says:

It sounds like a great machine, too!
Yeah… I think the manufactures got rid of the optical drives a little too soon XD

  5. mofail says:

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey?
    n0oOOoo audio lol?

    • albert says:

Haha yeah XD the computer is new and I didn’t notice the audio was not configured properly yet until I uploaded the video. The video is the important part after all. It’s just a test 😛

  6. Royalrolla says:

How can the system requirements be similar to the original with this graphic level?

    • Kris says:

They increased the texture sizes, so your graphics card might need more memory, but nothing else much changed

  7. Rusher says:

    Hi Albert,
Congratulations on your new pc and keep up the good work.
Can I please ask that how much this new pc cost you.
if not the exact price then just an estimate, cuz I am also looking to buy a high spec pc for myself.??

    Truly,
    Rusher

Hey Albert, nice and fantastic job you are done here. I got a strange request for ou, can you show up list of games you have on steam account. Wondering what else you play besides RE series in you free time). Thanks anyway!) Cheers

    • albert says:

      Haha thanks!
Well I have the complete Capcom catallogue because they gave me access to it thanks to DarkSamus… I can’t remember exactly how thigs exactly went.. it’s been 5 years! XD
But I can’t play to anything else other than the Resident Evil series and I also bought some other remakes like Oddworld and Spyro trilogy. I loved these games when I was younger and I couldn’t resist play them again with those beautiful and new graphics.

      Gracias!

is the remastered version of resident evil 4 coming out on Xbox one when your done developeing it

  12. [ROLO] says:
