Entering El Gigante’s Area

Here are some progress shots from the next area – the room where you fight El Gigante. Also, I revised one of the tombstones from the previous room to more accurately reflect the original texture. Enjoy!

Wonderful, the attention to detail is admirable.

  2. Lukas says:

    Amazing work as usual!

I think this might come in handy!
I can’t see the picture to know what it’s all about but apparently the cover from “Bloodwych” is somewhere in the game. lol

  3. Cris says:

Hehe you are awesome! 🙂 This is great. 🙂

    • Lukas says:

Thanks! Can I see how the carpet and the wine bottle look in the game? :^)

      • Cris says:

Sorry, I can’t fulfill requests for specific pictures of things because it takes time away from actually working on textures. Perhaps in a future update, but no promises. 🙂

  4. Lukas says:

Protip: Change the color scheme of this plate to make it look more like the current plate in Mendez’ house (and use the artwork of the church in the zip for the painting):

Because i’ve helped so much with such petty details, I expect you to rework this roof to make it more accurate :^)

    • Cris says:

Haha thank you, but I already remade the plate to match the original more. 🙂 The new design is very similar to what you’ve linked to. I’m impressed at what you’ve found so far!

Re: the roof, yes, I’m sure we’ll be revising it a bit. 🙂

    • Cris says:

Oh, I forgot to reply about the church artwork. I don’t think it matches the original texture. The artwork is painted from a different perspective than original texture. Thank you for sharing, though!

  5. KALUDIO says:

could we get darker shadows/contour on the middle piece on the 2nd grave, the one with the triangle in the middle? it such a nice design, but blends with the grave brown color from afar, a little more accentuated black would do it more justice xD

  6. Lukas says:

I tried to find the “Amenhotep typewriter” but I realized it’s not a real brand :/

The design and logo, however, seems to be based on “Underwood” typewriters 😀

    • Cris says:

Yes, I went through the same research early on and realized it wasn’t a real brand. 🙂 The design of the revised texture is based on the applicable vintage typewriter.

  7. John says:

    @KALUDIO
“could we get darker shadows/contour on the middle piece on the 2nd grave, ”

Please, Cris, do not start, halfway, to get lost. You been kind and tolerant with users but please do not be too indulgent with them.

    • Cris says:

No worries. We appreciate everyone’s feedback, no matter how detailed. Of course, we won’t be able to implement all suggested revisions, but the feedback is always welcome!

  8. Cris Without H says:

After defeating El Gigante, when he falls on the ground, Leon’s hand clips through him. Is it possible for you guys to fix it?

    • albert says:

I never noticed that! Good eye.
I don’t think so… we’d need to edit the animation or the position of the Gigante (or Leon) or something like that, and we don’t have the tools and knowledge to achieve that. Fortunatelly, this happens during less that half of a second.
