HD Leaves Everywhere! (Resident Evil 4 First Ganado Environmental Shots)

It was so satisfying to replace most of the outdoor environmental textures from the first section of the game — this is where it really starts to feel like a new experience.

One thing I noticed is that so many of the weird texture juxtapositions become all the more obvious when in HD and when using high quality textures. Unfortunately that’s not something I can completely overcome because I can’t change how the textures are mapped on, but I’ve done the best I could through image editing.

Though I absolutely adore this work, I don’t think you should just make a new texture to the original cigarette box, because I think the game should keep it’s original art design.

Or, why not both? When you release it, you could include a folder with improved versions of the original textures. 🙂

Hi Mat! Just in case anyone else has the same question, I’m gonna copy-paste over the response from the Steam forums: The best place I know to learn about modding the game would be the Resident Evil Modding Forum: http://residentevilmodding.boards.net/ — Just navigate to the forum for this version of the game and you should be able to learn there or get your questions answered. Hope it helps! And of course, when the project is ready to share, we’ll ensure good instructions are created to go with it.
