Open Windows, Flowing Curtains, and Royalty

Tonight I’m sharing an update from what I feel is an iconic room in the game. The image of Leon running alongside the open windows with the curtains flowing in the wind is something that has stuck with me ever since I first played the game a decade ago.

I’m also happy to share some of the 3D modeling improvements I’ve tried to implement. Nothing too elaborate, but hopefully you think it’s effective.

Enjoy the work in progress!

Great work as always… Anyway we could get a video preview of the floating curtains flowing in the room? Hope it’s not asking too much

Thanks! I typically don’t post videos because they take me too much time to make / upload, sorry. The good thing about it is it gives me more time for texture work. 🙂

      Same here.. HAHAHA
I don’t want to ruin the experience 😛

  8. Alex says:

    I love your work! 🙂

But can you please fix a few things to make it closer to the original?

  9. Gee says:

Oh boy! You managed to remove that annoying Ashley from the game on the second pic, i already love your work but now is even better 😛

    Fantastic work. You’re the best!

This game is becoming a HD 3D architectural museum. 😀
Anyway, fifth pic showing the hands. While the hands look awesome,
the hand hole looks weird. It should have some outline in the texture to support it.
It looks odd like the original.

  11. Daft Tron says:

I can’t believe how good the textures look.
    Incredible work.
Love all the little details you guys put in there.
