Revisiting Some Old Textures, Finishing Up the First Area

Gone back and revised two textures previously completed – in both cases it’s to better match the original. One is the tree texture, which I think is now an improvement on the first attempt. Second is the Emblem on the blue book in the cabin. Turns out this symbol turns up in other RE games, so it’s been recreated from scratch, with some interpretive license as to what the design is. Enjoy!

    Very nice!
But I think there should be some sort of dirt or their food on her dress and skirt:

And also the Ganado’s face skin could be a little bit younger with less cockle.
anyway, I appreciate your great work….

Thanks also for this feedback! I’ll continue trying my best to find the right balance in future face textures. 🙂

Thank you very much for the feedback! We may go back to this, but most likely this will be the final texture in this case (mainly so we can continue making forward progress toward completion of the project).

That symbol on the book looks more like a badge than an owl to me, but then again, you guys have better eyes than most people. Also, the killed women’s clothing appears to be a lot dirtier in the original version.
Then again, I love to nitpick ^^

    • Cris says:

Yup! We’ve revised that symbol since then. And I agree, there’s an opportunity for dirtying up the clothing a bit more. Added to the list. 🙂 Thanks!
