Look familiar? (III)

This weekend I’ve been in a pair of new locations in Spain and I found lots of RE4 textures and a very few REmake textures too.

In fact, some of RE4 Spain textures were already used in REmake. This made me think… Did Capcom decide to settle RE4 action in Spain in order to make the most of their Spain textures “collection”? It sounds quite absurd but the fact is they already had the Spain textures before RE4 project started. Who knows…

And here’s the “Look familiar” of the week:

    The detail you guys are going to is just incredible.

    May I ask why you have removed the 2 small squares to the left and right of the emblem?
    I can see that the original texture has it (in your pic on the right) and the source photo shown on the middle has them as well so it made me curious as to the reasoning for not following Capcom’s “lead” exactly in redoing this texture

      That’s because by the time I made that screenshot I had to recreate the base/pedestal. I get the real texture this weekend. So, I’ll have to remake again the texture using the original base instead of recreating it.
      Anyway, I was aware of those little missing details and I already included them before finding the real life texture. All work for nothing!! XD

    Beautiful, but i’m still bothered by the fact that you wouldn’t recreate the cigarette pack, because I feel the game should keep the original art design.

    It’s pretty bad, but it was made to illustrate a concept rather than be used.

      Hi Lukas! Thanks for sharing the mockup – looks good to my eye! I had actually started working on the cigarette box again a couple of weeks ago for fun. In the end, the box will be based on the original design, not the Ducados brand, so no need to worry. And thank you for your consistent and continued support! 🙂

    I noticed the RE4 art book contains higher resolution versions of some of the paintings in the game.
