Fast Version of the Instructions:
Generally speaking, the way the manual installation works is that you back up certain files (it’s always safer to back things up) and then you copy / paste the new files into that same directory.
Step by Step Version:
- Download the RAR file on the next page – file name: “re4-hd-demo-manual-install.rar”
- Move or rename the original files:
- On your computer, go to the folder where the Resident Evil 4 textures are stored (for typical Steam installations, the path is: “C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Resident Evil 4\BIO4\ImagePackHD”) (for the sake of this installation, we are going to be overwriting the “HD” textures)
- Once there, move the following files to another folder or just rename them by adding a “.bak” file extension to each file:
- 0d100000.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100030.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100200.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100300.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100400.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100410.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100430.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d100440.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d101000.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d101210.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d101300.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d120000.pack.yz2.lfs
- 0d120010.pack.yz2.lfs
- 01000000.pack.yz2.lfs
- 44000100.pack.lfs
- 44000101.pack.lfs
- 44000120.pack.lfs
- Once this has been completed, extract the new files from the RAR file (“re4-hd-demo-manual-install.rar”) into that same folder (again, for a typical Steam installation, the path to that folder is “C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Resident Evil 4\BIO4\ImagePackHD”)
- Start the game and ensure that HD textures are selected in the Video options for the game

Can i convert and play with RE4 2005
Sorry, but this patch is only for the latest 2014 PC port.
Maybe someone at the http://residentevilmodding.boards.net/ forums can help you if you want to try it by yourself. It’s quite easy to convert our textures into something the old port can read but it’s very time-consuming.
is this only for castle area ? what about other area/part of the game
